Dr. William Robert Mitchell

Dr. Mitchell is a board certified physician in both Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology, who received his undergraduate degree Magna Cum Laude at Marshall University. He furthered his education at the University of Louisville School of Medicine. He completed both his internal medicine residency and fellowship at Wake Forest University's Bowman Gray School of Medicine. From 1992 to 1995, Dr. Mitchell was a Chief Fellow of Oncology. He previously was the Chairman of Oncology for Novant Health Huntersville and assisted the Internal Medicine Residency Program for Oncology Rotation for Carolina's Medical Center. Dr. Mitchell is currently an active participant of Novant Health Cancer Care in Charlotte, NC, not only as an oncologist but also the principal investigator for lung cancer trials for Novant Oncology Research Institute. Dr. Mitchell founded Southern Oncology Specialists in 2010.

Dr. Ramandeep K. Bambrah

Dr. Bambrah is a graduate of the Ross University School of Medicine and completed her internship, residency and Oncology fellowship at the University Of Florida College Of Medicine in Jacksonville, FL where she was a author/co-author of various publications in both Hematology and Oncology. She is a member of ASCO, AMA, ANCO. Dr. Bambrah joined Southern Oncology Specialists in 2017 after leaving private practice in Northern California, where she was a Board Member for a nonprofit organization called Cancer Support Community, allowing her to interact with the local community. She has experience in both cancer as well as blood related disorders and her professional interests range from benign hematology to breast cancer to lymphoma/myeloma. Her personal interests include spending time with her family/friends, pet cat, exploring Charlotte. She is board certified in Internal Medicine and Medical Oncology.

Dr. Swetha Gujja

Dr. Gujja is a board certified physician in Internal Medicine as well as Medical Oncology, who received her medical degree at the Gandhi Medical College in India prior to moving to the United States. She completed her residency in internal medicine and fellowship at the University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences. She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, and the American College of Physicians. Dr. Gujja joined Southern Oncology Specialists in 2015.

Dr. Louise Zhou

Dr. Zhou received her undergraduate degree at New York University and her medical degree at Ross University. She went on to complete her internal medicine residency training as well as her medical oncology fellowship at the University of Florida. She is board certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in medical oncology and internal medicine. She has worked as faculty attending at the University of Florida, department of hematology/oncology, where she was involved in clinical research, the fellowship training program, and direct patient care. She has multiple publications ranging from the treatment of acute lymphoblastic leukemia to systemic therapies in metastatic pancreatic carcinoma. She is a member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, American Society of Hematology, and the American College of Physicians. She has expertise in all areas of hematology and oncology, and has a strong interest in gastrointestinal, thoracic, breast, and hematologic malignancies including multiple myeloma and lymphomas/leukemias. She believes in individualized patient care and is up to date on the most recent oncologic treatments. Dr. Zhou joined Southern Oncology Specialists in 2016.

Allison Knox

 

Undergraduate - University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill


Master of Medical Science - Wake Forest School of Medicine

 

Allison Knox received her undergraduate degree in Exercise and Sport Science from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. She then went on to earn her Master of Medical Science in Physicians Assistant Studies from the Wake Forest School of Medicine. She is a part of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, North Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Association of Physician Assistants for both the Piedmont and Metrolina area. Allison has been a part of Southern Oncology Specialists since 2014.
